A 5/4 element dual-band interlaced Yagi Antenna for the 10m and 15m bands from our Tornado ‘Heavy Duty’ range. Manufactured from lightweight but extremely strong construction grade 6082-T6 Aluminium stock with a heavy duty boom. The antenna includes Heavy Duty Element Brackets, Heavy Duty Polyamide Element Clamps and comes complete with M10 Stainless Steel Hardware. Large antennas such as this model also come complete with an additional ‘T-Bar’ horizontal strut/support. This support is used to reduce boom sag and anchors the boom in four (4) locations, 2 at the front and 2 at the rear. By using four support points (rather than two) – also reduces the sideways movement of the boom. For our guying line we use ‘Mastrant-P’ 4mm synthetic guy line which is rated at 400kgs. To compliment the setup, S3i 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Eyebolts, Turnbuckles and Hardware finish the project. The antenna is supplied with all hardware except boom to mast mount (see below).

VORTEX BOOM TO MAST PLATES
All VORTEX Antennas can be shipped WITHOUT any boom to mast mounting plates. Select this option from the dropdown menu when purchasing. Other options include the choice of mounting plates and complete mounting solutions with U-Bolts and Brackets.

VORTEX PLATE ‘D’
Is the only plate we recommend for this antenna because of its weight. Plate ‘D’ will enable you to attach the antenna to either a 2.0″ (50.8mm) or 2.5″ (63.5mm) mast. Fitting kits includes the plate, all U-Bolts, Saddle Clamps and Stainless Steel Hardware.
